Jennifer Voges serves as a Graduate Assistant at Northern Arizona
University in Flagstaff, AZ
while she completes her Masters Degree in Horn Performance.
Prior to coming to NAU, Ms Voges taught middle school and
high school band for seven years in the Fort Bend ISD in Sugar
Land, Texas and Alvin ISD in Alvin, Texas. Bands under her direction have consistently
received Superior ratings in both University Interscholastic
League and festival competitions. The
Dulles Middle School Symphonic Band also received back to back Sweeepstakes
awards under her direction.
Ms Voges was born and raised in New
Braunfels, Texas and attened New Braunfels High School where she received numerous
awards for her horn playing including being named to the Texas All State
Band. She received her Bachelor of Music
degree from Texas
Tech University
in May of 1998. While at Texas Tech she
was a member of the Symphonic Band under the direction of James Sudduth and
studied horn with Anthony Brittin.
Ms Voges is a member of the College Music Society, the Texas
Music Educators Association, the International Horn Society and Mu Phi Epsilon
Profession Music Fraternity. She is also
an honorary member of both Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma, Honorary Service
Fraternity and Sorority.
